I run val-u-part in Tassie a swap and sell business I came across two things today whilst removing parts from a well rusted770vj chugga one was the unusual chrome mounds that were on this car and secondly the side shark gild I call them were upholstered by the factory over the gills also there was another charger that had a special order no stamped on the guard. It is soa683 what does this mean it\'s a number I\'ve not seen stamped to a chassis before could you shed some light on this cheers |

Great site. I have a K13 E57 ex NSW Highway Patrol cars that I have used for 14 years for track supersprints and I can confirm it handles very well. This however was achieved by utilising 1.03 inch torsion bars that Chrysler could have very easily run in the E55\'s. Even the E49\'s with 0.870 inch bars were undersprung in their day, so I have no doubt the V8\'s could have been made to handle as good as the hemi 6. I think thatyour list of performance chargers should also include the police K series cars as well. |

Hi. I am contacting to try to confirm the identity of an engine that was fitted to my grandparents A84 J82 R/T E38 Charger when they purchased the cat back in June 1973. The car is an EX ATCC car and I do know that the original engine had oil surge problems before it was two months old. They still own the car today. The engine number is D343X0**. Can you guys confirm what the \"X\" stands for? I read quite a few years back that Chrysler stamped their warranty replacement engines with an \"X\" but I can no longer find the origin of the information. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards Brad McAllister. |
