Harpo's website

Hello,
I watched "I love Lucy" yesterday for the first time in years. I saw the episode where Lucy was portraying various celebrities for her visiting friend, Carolyn Applebee, who had lost her eyeglasses. Well when Lucy decided to portray Harpo she was a little late because he had actually shown up. I loved that episode mainly because he played the harp so beautifully. Thank you for such an interesting website of info on him. I wouldn't have never known it existed if I hadn't seen 'I love Lucy"

Re: Harpo's website

Can you tell me why Harpo has his leg up for someone to hold it ? My grandson had seen it in a movie and asked me. Would appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Re: Re: Harpo's website

Because it's funny???

Sorry...I really don't know, LOL! Anyone else out there have any insight?

Re: Re:Harpo's leg!!!

I don't know "why", Harpo did this, Bert...but I do it all the time!- especially if we're out shopping on a Saturday!!!!!! Haha!!
Best wishes,
David

Re: Re: Harpo & lucy episode

Thank you so much David for your kind words and generosity
I believe the name of the episode was simply "Harpo Marx".
It was episode #125 aired in the fourth season, May 9, 1955.

There is a VHS set available called "The Best of I Love Lucy Volume 1" and that has the Harpo Marx episode on it. It is in NTSC format though, so you'd have to see if it would be compatible with your VCR.
You can find it at Amazon.com at
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005NFY1/qid=1107471634/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/002-1046634-8387209?v=glance&s=dvd#product-details

I read that there is a DVD set of the fourth season in the works also.

Here's where I got that info:
