I needed a significant stalk of wood to support me when I was overweight. I went to Scotland and brought back a beautiful and hefty Blackthorn walking Stick. The stick itself measures 5 1/2" circumference at the top tapering down to 4" at the ferrule.
I love the stick but the rootball top is really too large or perhaps shaped wrong for comfort in my hand. The ball has a 10" circumference.
So, although I have large paws, I am looking for a carver/woodworker who would be willing to downsize the knob some, as well as provide a more esthetically pleasing ball.
Please email me at Seattleinfo@aol.com if you are a trained carver for hire.
