Duane "Duke" Moore

Hi, I'm looking for photographs, news articles, or any personal stories that anyone might have of Duke Moore. I'm trying to save info for our family; Duke was my grandpa. He was a member if the woodcarving association and at one time I believe he was the Vice President of the Pacific Northwest chapter. He was an active carver from the 60's to the 90's (I believe) and had his workshop in Ashford Washington. I remember him doing shows at the puyallup fair, the Seattle waterfront, and chainsaw contests in squim or sequim?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely, Sarah

Re: Duane "Duke" Moore

I am responding to Sarah Speakman's September, 2014 note to this site regarding her Grandpa, Duane "Duke" Moore.

I have a small, beautifully carved wooden work-boot with the signature "Duke Moore 83" carved on the back. I'm pretty sure it must be one of his works and would be glad to send it on to a member of his family as it is truly a little treasure!
