Anna Mwalagho inviting you for her performances and then some! - July through November 2012

Hello Friend,

I hope this message finds you well. To my new found friend, I welcome you. Thank you for your support and acceptance to receive my newsletter informing you of my performances.
If this is the first time receiving my emails then I must have met you at an event where I was performing. It could have been at the AGOA event, The US Capitol hill, ADACI annual celebration, Columbia festival or a
private function just to name a few. Please feel free to unsubscribe below if you do not wish to receive my emails.

We give men a bad rap yet there are very many good men out there. Men, who care for their children, love their wives and their loved ones.

Men in America treat their fellow women as equals, something that I truly love. In some other continents, especially Asia and Africa, men are held in higher esteem than women. Things are beginning to change for the better because as Bob Marley said “Until the philosophy that holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war.” And the same thing applies to gender. The poem below is, therefore, dedicated to all the good men starting with my late father, husband and all the others. For all the men I hope you had a happy Father’s day and enjoy the rest of your year.

Thank you for letting my band and I entertain you and also for buying my CDS and T- shirts. Do not forget to buy my new CD if you still have not purchased a copy. The CD is called HAKI, a word in Kiswahili meaning
justice.Check it out and buy yourself a copy by clicking on the websites below.

Poem of The Month.

Men of Valor
To the men of
courage and honor
The ones we
celebrate today
Who work from
dawn to dusk
To provide for
your loved ones
Who sacrifice life and luxuries?
To invest in
your children
You men of class
Not fake pride
or shame
But humble and
gentle
Respecting your
fellow women
You men of style
and grace
That loves your
women
And care for
your children
Men of strength
and power
Braving the
storms of life
Discrimination
trials and tribulations
Highs and lows
But never giving
up
Keeping your
head up
Holding on to
life
And staying calm
through the tides
Keeping your
families safe
Men who forever
we respect
We love and we
need
You who died for
our freedoms
Suffered for our
liberations
Brought us to
this world
And proudly take
your stands
Your God given
right
To be fathers,
grandfathers, brothers and uncles
Together we
salute you
Forever we
cherish you
And lovingly we
embrace you
With God’s
everlasting grace.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. ..we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us… And as we
let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the
same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others” ..........By Marianne Williamson
