Golden Rules

I would be interested to hear what simply rules others ask their 2.5 - 5 years to following in pre-school

Re: Golden Rules

We have a few rules which are represented pictorally and in writing around the classroom. These were talked through and drawn up with a group of children aged 3/4 years a year or so ago.
Walk (don't run) in the classroom.
One at a time in a toilet cubicle.
Keep your hands and feet to yourself. (No kicking or pushing).
Sit down whilst eating.
Turn the tap off. (Handbasin).
Can't remember if there are any more.

Re: Golden Rules

Flush the loo please!

Re: Golden Rules

Thanks

Re: Golden Rules

Ours are also represented visually on laminated cards and are as follows:
Be Kind (to others and to toys)
Hands and feet to self
Sitting Nicely (story/snack time)
Share
Quiet voices
Help tidy up!

Other things we verbally reinforce are hand washing, walking indoors etc

Re: Golden Rules

Be Kind
Be helpful
Take care of property
Walk, don't run
Talk, don't shout
