outdoor play

Hi now the weather is picking up we are spending alot of time outside in nare large garden and decking area. We take the sand, water, paints, etc out and the children have a climbing frame and wooden hut etc.
But the thing i am worrying about is taht OFSTED are due and all the planned activities each week are not getting done as the children are playing there own games etc and my colleague does not believe in taking them away from their play. This means at the moment any structure is going out of the window but the children are very happy!!!!!! What should i do?

Re: outdoor play

Take you planning outside? Most of what is planned for inside can be taken outside, especially if you have a decked area for the children to sit for stories, singing, snack, etc. etc. Record all that the children do outside as child lead activities.

Also see outside thread below - some super ideas there for outside.
