SS Elgo

Regarding loss of Swedish merchant ship SS Elgo ( 1,888 tons ). The book "Axis Submarine Successes of WW2" records the loss by torpedo and gunfire from the Italian submarine Pier Capponi, attack starting at 01:35hrs. The position given is 36.59N/11.12E. The internet site on Italian submarine successes in the Mediterranean also gives credit for sinking Elgo to submarine Capponi on 06/22/40. Any details on her loss would be appreciated, as your site has her being sunk by aircraft. Sincerely Steven D Nichols, Canada.
