Night run from Milngavie to Drymen - Wednesday May 28
Anyone fancy this? Aim to start at 10pm. Transport will be arranged once we have numbers. As it stands Marco and I are taking two cars to Drymen and driving one to Milngavie. There are two spaces left if you want to meet and leave your car in Drymen. Alternatively you can start in Milngavie and I'll try to arrange for someone to drop you back off after the run. Again, all depends on numbers. Perfect chance to try out headtorches and familiarise yourself with this section in the dark...if you're not already familiar. No one will run alone. I'm only adding that bit in, so I don't get left behind

This sounds like a good wheeze. Hope it goes fine. I think that on the Big Day it'll be daylight by the time you get to Drymen, whereas for your night run recce it'll definitely be darkness. So you should find the Big Day run a doddle by comparison :-) Murdo

Hi Debbie Bit of a long way to come for a 12 mile run but I like the idea, I have only run the first section a couple of times and find that I spend it chatting and not paying any attention to where I am going, off to Cape Wrath this weekend for the week will confirm when I get back. |

We are arriving in the UK on June 10th so we were planning to do this section as a "reconn." Had not thought about trying to do it in darkness, but could be coaxed! Anyone want to do this section closer to the Big Day?? The Roachs |

Anyone fancy going Milngavie to Drymen and back? That would make it 24miles and worth the effort of staying up!! Or keep going to Balmaha - but then we'd have extra hassles with cars. Any takers? John |

Hi debs, great idea, I will be up in Scotland for half term and would like to join you, depending on the pace from drymen back to Milnagavie I may be up for the return trip.it would make the journey slightly more worthwhile Alyson |

Debs I am up for the run too. Either just to Drymen or back to milngavie. If required, I can also help out with transport. Let me know once you have finalised numbers. By the way - just read your race report on the Mighty Deerstalker in My Race Magazine - brings back some happy but muddy memories! |
