John o' Groats to Lands End (JoG2LE)
My friend Tony & I came down the next stage of my John o' Groats to Lands End run last week, Inverness to Milngavie via the Great Glen and West Highland Ways. It was great to meet some of last years fellow competitors, Kate Jenkins, Ian Beattie & Jim Robertson, heading north on a training run for this years race. Our WHW buffs and Kate's WHW top made us instantly recognisable to each other. Meanwhile, we will be running the next leg, Mlngavie to Kirk Yetholm via the Firth & Forth Canal, Edinburgh & Lauder, next Monday to Wednesday. So if anyone is out running that way next week, look out for the buffs ! |

Tim, our route so far was by road from Jo'G to Inverness (4 days)and Great Glen Way & West Highland Way to Milngavie (5 days). Next week is canals to Edinburgh then down to Kirk Yetholm by road (3 days). Next month the Pennine Way to Edale (7 days) and Gritstone Way to Derby (1 day). After that we have not planed the route in detail, but it will take in the Heart of England Way, Midshires way & Cotswold Way. We hope to finish in LE by Aug/Sep. |

Dave, I'll start planning the sections south of Derby when I get back next week. Meanwhile, I would welcome any suggestions you might have. |
