Weigh to Go - Highland Fling Race

In case any 'Flingers have missed it on the Fling forum, there will be a set of scales at the start and finish of the race on Sat.. If you are like me and only start looking at scales when it is time to bring out your bikini for your summer hols, then it could provide a useful insite into weight loss / gain over the 53 miles ..

It is one new thing for the WHW this year, and whilst I am not that bothered about it, it is just another thing that I want to have covered off, so I really don't have to think about it...

Cheers to Ellen and Murdo for doing this.

Hope all well and looking FW to the Fling . Don't reckon it is going to be as hot as last year ! Cheers

Re: Weigh to Go - Highland Fling Race

As you may have gathered there are a few competitive battles developing, although the perpetrators insist they will be treating the Fling as a training run
but a weigh in is taking things way too far, what next, are we going to see Mr Kynaston and Mr Beattie going head to head trying to out stare and out physche each other in Milngavie Station Car Park

Re: Weigh to Go - Highland Fling Race

Good luck to all Flingers

Remember dont take it too fast to begin with as with 50+miles you will have a weigh to go
Im doing the Woldsman 50 miler this weekend, 300+miles closer to me then the Fling but would rather be up in wee bonnie Scotland (my spiritual home) doing the Fling then the Woldsman (saying that the Yorkshire Wolds, Thixendale, Deepdale etc are just as beautiful as any place in Britain, just no Mountains and no Dario )

Note to Tim Downie.

Don't weigh yourself mate. You should only have positive thoughts in your mind with 53 miles ahead of you.

Classic DQ. Looking forward to seeing lots of disappointed faces as they weigh in (i will not be joining in). thought I would be gutted to be missing the race but I am looking forward to helping out. That's if I survive training tonight.
