Training Runs
Any suggestions please for long looped runs to get in some distance.Due to family holiday I won't be able to enter race until 2009, but would like to get some long days on the trails under my belt. I have read with interest of the outings so far , but wonder if any long trail runs with a loop back to my car are possible,I don't particularly enjoy out and back days.Cheers. |

Motherwell but I'm willing to travel 2 to 3 hour drive for a long run, any suggestions gratefully received |

I'd buy a decent munro book and plan a circular route based on taking in several days worth of walks and tops. But then I like the hills. Another possibility I've heard others mention in another thread is to run right round Loch Katrine. I think there is a mix of road and trail all the way. |

Wise words Brian. Also, a bit closer than Loch Katrine, you've got the Campsie Fells; and loads of forest trails round Aberfoyle / Callander / Trossachs way. Then you've got Strathclyde Country Park just outside your back door, but may need several laps round that to cover a decent distance. Spoilt for choice! Murdo
