Inversnaid - quick question
Hi Just looking through the race documentation and havea quick question re the cp at Inversnaid. It states that support teams have to meet their runner at each CP, but also that it is not advisable to meet at Inversnaid. Is Inversnaid exempt from this rule? Cheers Phil

Phil Instruction are exactly as it says on the tin, **Inversnaid - It is not advised for support crews to attempt to meet their runner at Inversnaid. T.S.A.R.T will have water and first aid stations at Inversnaid, At registration you may leave a small (clearly numbered) bag with some food/spare clothing that will be made available to you at Inversnaid, please note it will not be possible to return any items left at Inversnaid. Trhe reasons are that it is an horrendous single track road for 16 miles each way from aberfoyle, not only dangerous but with 150 support vehicles irresponsible to encorage you support crew to make trip. also time invovled means runners may may link between inversnaid and after inversnaid quicker than cars! thats why TSART kindly take drop bags ther so you can do this bit unsupported. Please try and resect this bit of advice. all other checkpoints are normal (no official times are recored at inversnaid however there is a 9 hour time limit to reach there) |

Hi again Sorry for the inane questions, but just trying to sort stuff out with my support team. At the Auchentyre Farm CP(Auchtertyre?), where is the best place for Support Teams to leave vehicles? Cheers Phil

Phil plenty parking at farm, just 50 yards or so from CP. also told that if need by they would open a field for parking. The farm owners are keen to be involved with race and this is the second year they have been involved |
