I would like some information on acetanilide, a stabilizing agent.
For years I have used Hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash and it has had no particular taste. Recently I found it very hard to purchase H2O2 and when I did find some it tastes and smells horrible and the label states that it contains the stabilizing agent acetanilide. I wonder why it is necessary to state this on the label and is it safe to put in my mouth?
The only information I have found so far is that it is a herbicide, is this so? This question may appear to be light weight however the loss of H2O2 for personal use after some 100 or more years is of deep concern to me. |
