Mac has managed to secure 6 places for 2007/8 New Year festivities. In Cardiff this means free access to the celebrations to bring the New Year in. Last year this included includes 2 firework displays, street music and children's carnival, a parade, a winter wonderland, a funfair, good quality mobile food sellers, mobile bars, hundreds of mobile wc's, ice carving and ice skating. You can also walk into the city centre and enjoy the bar, restaurants, clubs for a warm up before you return to the town hall to bring in the New Year with the BBC's free music concert. Details of 2007/8 haven't been published yet. We have a smashing time every year with a fantastic street party atmosphere. We hope you will have the same.,
The site we use is Sophia Gardens adjacent to the City Park with Rive Taff 15-20 minutes to walk through the park to the city centre. Each pitch has lecky water and waste (grey) and hard standing of a concrete grid under the grass. Warden will assist you to park so you only walk on tarmac.
The option is yours, from the 27/12/07 to the 2/1/08 of how many nights you want to stay. We have booked the pitches from the day after Boxing Day to Jan 2 2008; prices are £17.00 a night including lecky (prices can change subject to local authority). Shower blocks clean, warm and serviceable and are free with a number pad security lock on the block door. Hairdryers available also free.
Most evenings we can join up and eat at the "Mucky Pig" Restaurant and non smoking pub. The staff here make us very welcome and reserve tables to suit our number.
Other attractions in Cardiff, these can be found on Cardiff visitor's website www.visitcardiff.com. For folk in need of retail therapy the sales are really good.
