If you like a good rummage, then Polch in the first week in November 2008 maybe for you. Every year this same week N+B in Polch have an "Open House". Camping is free in the field at the front of the factory, grassy, solid and fairly level. For 50 cents you can refill with drinking water and empty both black and grey waste. There are a very few hook ups on the N+B Stellplatz but only very early birds get these.
The immediate vicinity has a petrol station, and food and non-food supermarket, Niesmann camping shop, bakers which sells fantastic fresh bread & rolls, snacks, coffee and cakes to die for and wine shop. There is also Polch town itself, with couple of restaurants and a hotel.
N+B do a marquee with a large assortment of factory "left overs" all at good prices. Fabrics, trim, doors that sort of stuff. There are guided factory tours, the tours are fascinating and you really see the quality of build that you have bought in your N+B. There are also available light meals and hot and cold drinks.
It is a also good opportunity to buy any specifics from spares dept (to the right about 50 yds from main entrance) if you can't buy them in the marquee; it is helpful to take a picture of what you want, if you don't know the part number. The staff in spares speak good English too.
