Message:		I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED ON HOW AA IS LOSING THE OLDER MEMBER, MYSELF. I HAVE BEEN SOBER FOR TWENTY-THREE YEARS AND I WAS AT A MEETING THAT I ATTEND QUITE FREQUENTLY! THE MEETING WAS HELD AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF AA HERE IN CHICAGO. I SPOKE WITH THE OFFICE MANAGER OF THE OFFICE AND I WAS TO COME IN THE NEXT DAY AND TRAIN FOR VOLUNTEERING. SOMETHING CAME UP, AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO GO NOR WAS I ABLE TO CALL. NO ONE HAS GOTTEN IN TOUCH WITH ME AND THIS HAS BEEN MORE THAN A MONTH. AND THAT IS RECOVERY? I DON'T THINK SO AND IF THIS TYPE OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS CAME FROM A NEWCOMER THAT DIDN'T KNOW ME, I COULD LOOK AT THIS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. THIS CAME FROM THE OFFICE MANAGER WHO HAS BEEN AROUND FOR SOME TIME AND WHO HAS KNOWN ME FOR SOME TIME. WHAT IS MORE DAMAGING TO AA IS THAT THIS PERSON IS THE OFFICE MANAGER TO THE CHICAGO CENTRAL OFFICE. THIS IS A JOKE AND I REALLY DON'T THINK THAT THIS IS REPRESENTATIVE OF AA. I'M JUST SO GLAD THAT I AM NOT A NEWCOMER, AT ALL, AND I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SEE WHAT AA IS ABOUT BUT I REALLY DOUBT IF I WILL REMAIN AS ACTIVE AS I'VE BEEN. THIS IS A JOKE!!! STEVEN CARR CHICAGO,IL.
