Hadley,
Yeah...one thing about Pakistan we may be just as good or just as bad as the rest of the world:), but sometimes over the weekend the internet connection starts to act up and be a real primadonna:) So I apologise for not responding...
I tell ya about Tasmania, the whole cricketing world is being terrorized:) by this great Batsman from Hobart Ricky Ponting...someone akin to the best in MLB in the US...he is one helluva a player...you all should take up cricket as a hobby...its a great format of sports and is expected to be big in the US in the near future!
Luckily I don't have an accent when I am talking to Pakistanis or Indians but If and when I meet you all you may find me drawling just a bit!
I am not a businessman but a journeyman...I work with creative people within the organization I work for and it is very rewarding because one gets to work with so many eccentric people that life is never dull!
Ambrose,
When I worked in Mountain View as an Industry Analyst some of my best buddies were Irish. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and never cuss words get in the way of their romantic approach to life:) I loved that and I'd like to visit Ireland one day...but a place I'd like to vist the most is Salzburg, Austria where Mozart was born and live within its cobblestone streets.
Going back to Pakistan has had a significant difference in my life in that when I look at the faces of my children I feel (being a destiny kinda guy) that I wouldn't have them quite like them anywhere else in the world! If you know what I mean...other than that I try to maintain a good work ethic to provide the best for my family and its education and just enough to irritate the wife:) see that is important to for sustainability, don't you think?
Naomi,
Wow, thank you...you all are just too good and its great to feel to be part of you all. You are generous in that you give time to a single person like me and say all these nice things.
I do write and it keeps me from going insane! and some people like what I write and some don't...which is just as well because I have ways to go but thank you!
Ambrose,
Maybe I will bottle all that I wrote, someday just for you:)
Thanks the whole lot of you man I feel so good and I hope all you kind people also feel as I am feeling!
Keepin' the hope alive, folks...
Love,
Omar |
