What a lot of people can't imagine is that playing for the lead singer is only a part time gig, a few months at a time, every few years. We'd like to think the band is together 24/7 and all is well all the time. In reality, it's good to hear that, even though we'd all give up our day jobs to be a member of the band... it's still a job and in any job there are gonna be those "sucky" days when you don't get your due.
Thanks for the reality check, Hadley and I appreciate your sharing. I've been a "hired guitarist" much of my adult life (waaaaaaaaay down in the food chain, compared to you ) and know that sometimes lead singers develop LSD (lead singer syndrome) and make mindless choices, for no other reason than just being momentarily mindless.
Hang tough, it's not you... it's the biz.
Oh, and you're my favorite part of the Diamondville DVD! My hotel key picks never come out right! |
