Hi Nina,
Thanks for posting this information. Jessie told me about this yesterday, and I've already sent a card. I hope she's feeling better soon!
Diane
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Replying to: Geneva is now ensconced at Valley Vista in Bradford, VT (which provides "Inpatient Alcohol & Chemical Dependency Treatment for Women & Adolescents"). She'll be there for probably 30 days, at least.
All calls to Geneva will go directly through her case manager, whose name is Nicole Boucher. The phone number is 802-222-5201. You may call at any time, and you must identify yourself, the patient's name, and the case manager.
Geneva can make outgoing calls from 5:00 - 9:30 pm every other day for a duration of 10 minutes.
Adult visitors are allowed on the first and third Sunday of the month; patients are supposed to receive approval for visitors from their case manager, and if visitors haven't been approved, they won't be allowed in, so I guess you should tell Geneva if you want to visit. Visitors can't bring packages or presents or flower arrangements; cash and phone cards are acceptable.
If you want to send a card or letter, address it to Geneva care of Valley Vista, 23 Upper Plain, Bradford, VT 05033. Mail is opened by staff in the patient's presence.
Patients may receive flowers that are delivered directly from a florist. Tell the florist that flowers must be in a plastic container or basket because patients aren't allowed to have glass vases. They're also not allowed to have balloons or stuffed animals.
It seems like a nice place, and Geneva was feeling optimistic today that she'll get the help there that she needs. Here's hoping...! |
