Hermione / Alyssa is finally out of the hospital and doing well. She's scheduled for a lot of outpatient followup to keep us out.
Long term there are a lot of things that can be done in the future to help - or even cure(!) - her condition. But we are not making any immediate decisions because of all these new choices on the horizon. There's even a possibility that in a few years they might be able to grow her a new heart from her own stem cells (They've already done it in Sweden.)
When I was young this was all science fiction. Now it's almost here. |
