Susan is going to have laparoscopy, which is much less invasive than standard surgery with less of a chance of an infection and less pain. Susan has the surgery tomorrow. The pain has subsided from labor pain-level to menstrual cramp-level so she seems like her usual self. She hasn't even taken pain killers over the last two days.
