About the Author and the Comic
I thought that since I no longer have a page on the site telling about myself, I might as well let everyone in on who I am. As you should already know, my name is Lonnie Charles Best. As of March 23, 2005, I am 18 years old. That would also mean that I was born on March 23, 1987. I am currently a resident of Martinez, GA. I live at home with my adoptive parents who also happen to be my grandparents. I will begin college at Augusta State University in August, and plan on majoring in Computer Science. I will probably be living at home through at least part of college. My future career plans are to simply be a computer technician, because I enjoy working with computers. I am currently a full-time runner for the law firm Fleming, Ingram, & Floyd, PC. My hobbies include drawing (obviously) and writing, working with computers, playing PC games, playing the drums and the guitar, and spending time with my sweetheart . I have many other hobbies, but those listed are just the biggest ones. Now I'll tell a little about the origins of Love, Life, and Pain. As you'll be able to tell from checking the archive, first hit the web on December 23, 2002. The comic originated from a sketch that I did of Miroku. I was actually trying to draw my girlfriend in a manga-esque style, but the end result looked nothing like my girlfriend. I then tried drawing myself in the same sort of style, again ending up with something that resembled it's human counterpart in no way. The two character designs pretty much stuck, though, when I decided to make a webcomic. My first attempt at a webcomic was a futuristic fighting comic called Tokyo Battle Xtreme, or TBX for short. (Begin laughing now.) I did four pages of the comic and realized that it just didn't work. LLP was the next attempt, and it stuck. I originally drew two or three pages and then quit. When I finally got a scanner I started up work on the comic again and it was embraced by a small community for a long time, before being exposed to a larger demographic through the miracle of OnlineComics.net. That's just a little bit of the origins of the comic and of myself. I hope it gave you a little insight. |

Hello my name is Ralph S. and i am totally kick ass. I am currently full time self employed. My job is to sit on my ass and play video games as long as I possibly can. . My comic is all about sex sex sex. Its so good I got an Oscar for it, even though Oscars are only given to people that are part of the movie industry. I also got the Nobel Price for being the most arounsing erotic material around. Here you can see my main character get a rewarding golden shower after a 3 hour gangbang session (bottom right. I am also well known for comming up with the first reloadable bukkake hand gun. (http://www.lovelifeandpain.com/page19.jpg).

I'm glad to know that you find the comic so touching! Yes, what you said about hopelessness is true. Some of this story comes from personal experience, so I know. One should never give up- No matter what the problem, someone will come along to rescue you one day. |

I'm glad to know that you enjoy the comic! Don't worry, it'll continue in the near future. I always encounter breaks like these because of college and work schedules and other activities conflicting with my abilities to create new pages, but as I'm sure you can tell, it always picks up speed again and it will never disappear until it's finished. Thanks for your interest, and check back for future updates! |
