Hi All,
Got back from my first HBF earlier this week. I had a great time! Was a little surprised, though, at the lack of diversity in books available. Sold some books and a couple of journalists covering the fair stopped by my table and interviewed me. That was unexpected and a lot of fun. But the big thing was they announced I'm a nominee for an African American Literary Award in the Romance category!! My smile was so bright it could have provided enough light for plane landings. :-)
The one thing I regret is that I didn't get to attend any of the panel discussions. Had to man my table and hand out literature.
