Busch parks getting sold soon...?
Appearently Anhauser Busch has been sold to the European company InBev. Since InBev had said in the past they aren't interested in the parks, the Busch parks might be up in market soon. |

"BUSCH ENTERTAINMENT IS A DIFFERENT COMPANY THAN AB." BEC is a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch. Meaning that it is the same company. Where on Earth did you hear otherwise? |

InBev already made clear last month if the buyout was successful, the parks are not their core of business, so eventually get sold off. If that happens, it may not be a US buyer, the one US buyer who has any potenial and has experience at running parks is Cedar Fair, and they have their hands full with intergrating the Paramount Parks. So its possible the parks may see a foreign owner. Six Flags can't buy them, they are in hot water with the death at Six Flags Over Georgia, which did nothing but add on their problems. Disney and Uni fine and dandy with the healthy distrubution they got right now. |

"ITS NOT IN THE DEAL. AND WHO REALLY CARES." You brought it up. How do you figure BEC isn't in the deal? InBev has no interest in the parks, but they're still bidding on the entire A-B corporation, are they not? |

On the Sea World subject.. Appearently whoever buys the parks, must operate keeping "Shamu" on park site, since there has been a huge uproar when the announcement was released InBev are not interested in the parks so they will put them up on the market. Confirmed Disney and Six Flags are not interested. |

"MY SOURCES AT SW TELL EVERYONE IS SCARED CRAPLESS OVER THIS SALE AND WHAT IT MIGHT MEAN! " My sources at SWT feel the same way and appearently got to a point this was released. http://radio.woai.com/script2/print.php?page=/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html&article_id=3956383&feed_id=119078 To be honest, I don't think anything major will happen right off the bat, the park I work for got bought out a couple years ago and the worst that happened was the name changes in some attractions, and actually the park has been improved. So no one really knows how the parks will turn out at this point. |
