Re: Lolita

PETA are useless when it comes to Lolita....i agree with Anon as well, they usually do more harm than good. PETA is extreme in extremist. I personally believe PETA is just used as a spotlight for big names and those involved with no names require psychological evaluations!

Re: Lolita

PETA is a rather frightening group. They honestly think people should not have pets. Not just the bad pet owners, but EVERYONE. That's messed.

Re: Lolita

I agree, HT. PETA thinks there should be no contact whatsoever between humans and animals. I think that is just plain wrong.

Re: Lolita

send copies of Slave to Entertainment to local celebreties, congressmen, musicians whatever....look at the list of supporters on this site....IF we could triple that with BIG names, that would HELP do something!

Re: Lolita

Indeed. Hertz doesn't seem to feel that he can justify spending so much money on a new tank for Lolita when he knows she doesn't have much time left. Understandable, but by no means does that make it okay.

When you take an animal into your care, you also are responsible for the animal's well being and health. Neglecting to give your animal the best care possible is abusive and well...negligent. The trainers can do all they can to care for her...but when Hertz isn't willing to put forth some effort, the trainers efforts are little more than futile.

(Wow...getting into one of those moods again..)
move lolita! do it now!!!!

Without PETA, many animals would still be living in the **** holes we call "humane". Still, there are a lot of things I do not agree with that they do.

Re: Lolita

It's understandable that we're all upset. Anyone who believes in keeping Lolita in that small tank with no company does NOT belong on this forum. When I saw Slave to Entertainment, I cried. I even had a dream that Lolita was free, and I intend to see that through. But sitting around complaining about PETA isn't going to do anything. Perhaps they need more convincing. They need to be shown the body of Huga rotting away in that dump, the small tanks, the dying sea lions, the dolphin death chart, the moldy food, etc. So does APHIS and other organizations. If they still won't do anything, turn to someone else. Maybe Greenpeace or something. Maybe Mr. 'I Love to Torture Orcas' Hertz will bend if the entire body of Hollywood movie stars just showd up and picketed ouside his SeaPrison, bringing him front-page headline bad press. She must be freed!

Re: Lolita

The stars did try and do something for her, but Hertz won't budge.
I do not support PETA at all. If you want to look at the true heros against animal abuse look at the Animal Cops, in Miami, Detroit, and Houston, San Diego. They are the heros. Some of the stuff that they find is just so sad. PETA won't do anything.
There is no hope for Lolita I'm sad to say, I don't think she's going anywhere no matter how bad we want it or how hard people try.

@ the zoo thats what they consider me as.

peta honestly just wants all animals to be free ^_^
and live happily ever after~!

but take a good look @ what us humans are doing?
the wild isnt a good option @ all.

Re: Lolita

I seriously think Hertz is brain-damaged. He doesn't care about Lolitas happiness or the bad press he just wants her there for the cash, cash, CASH! I suppose the only way to get her out of there is to stop people from going there, but HOW?

"I seriously think Hertz is brain-damaged. He doesn't care about Lolitas happiness or the bad press he just wants her there for the cash, cash, CASH!"

Wow...you really have been drinking the koolade around here. Do you really think that the man has brain damage? Or do you need some one to blame, someone to hate so much that you focus on him.

Don't listen to Russ on the whole money thing. If it was just a short term cash grab, they wouldn't be investing so much in the park. Hell, at $900,000 per dolphin according to the last one sold, the animal collection could be sold off for a pretty penny. Just sell them and cash out.

Warrior, you are smarter than that. Think for yourself and don't hate because Russ tells you to.

MORON, HERTZ CANT SELL...NO BUYERS AND HE DOESNT OWN THE LAND AGAIN YOURE A MORON AND WHY DO YOU HIDE?

Re: Lolita

Nice and polite as always Rector. No they don't own the land genius, but they own the animals which are the valuable asset. Everyone wants dolphins, ask your buddies at Georgia Aquarium if they would buy dolphins.

Re: Lolita

So the people that loaned the the money to them...I think they are smarter than you are Rector. Hell, THEY had 14 million to loan so that certainly makes them better business people than you are Rector.

So these smart business people thought it was a wise decision to loan 14 million to Seaquarium. They must know something about the business that you don't.
