put old cell phones to good use

The Pima County Attorney's Office Victim Witness Program is in need of old cell phones. They give them to victims of domestic violence (and other crimes such as stalking)for emergency use. In case you didn't know this, cell phone providers are required to enable 911 on all phones even if there is no current contract. So if you have any old cell phones just sitting around, please consider donating them. They might just save a life. You can call 740-5600 and ask for the Victim Witness Program for directions to the downtown office on Stone or one of their satellite offices in the police departments of Oro Valley, Marana and Sahuarita. If it's easier, you can also bring them to the 8/30 driveout Bill Mullin just emailed members about or the PF Changs meeting in September.
