Psychological Testing
I am currently a police officer ( four years on )I had been testing with two agencies at the same time. I took the psychological exam with one agency, and passed. Three weeks later I took the Psychological with the other agency and did not pass. Anyone have any ideas how that happened. Needless to say I have been disqualified with that agency, and may end up being disqualified with the other one as well, even though I passed that psychological. Anyone have any words of wisdom |

All of the physch testing is done in a subjective manor so in all actuality if the examier doesn't like you than you may fail because the test results are interperated by the dr. prefoming the test. my suggestion would be to take your testing result to another dr. and have them read the result and than try and get reinstated in your job. also if you can't get anywhere you can call mental health alliance in your area. if you need more help feel free to contact me. Do you know why you flunk the test? |

The agency may provide a way to fight the decision, such as having an independent psychologist review the testing, or getting an assessment with a psychologist of your own choosing. Just like any employment decision, there is a subjective element, and different departments may also have different criteria. |
