I did not read that text, but I think that you may find it usefull.

Wolf, T. H. (1973). The emergence of the first useful test of children's intelligence; The emergence of Binet's conceptions and measurement of intelligence. In T. H. Wolf. Alfred Binet (pp. 139-218). Chicago: University of Chicago Press.

I'm afraid I can't help a whole lot with the history of this particular test. It is, as you know, a test of nonverbal intelligence, and interestingly can be found on the Leiter test also. You might want to run a pilot study to see if your rotation task correlates with Paper Folding or other tests of nonverbal intelligence.

hi

I am wandering if anyone could tell me where I might find some useful lit. on the theory behind the S>B test. Specifically I ma interested in the paper folding task. The reason for my question is that I am trying to asertain if a mental rotation test that I have been using in my experiments is testing the same thing as the sssssS>B. However, as this test is so old I am having trouble finding decent reading material.

yours hopefully poppyx
