What to expect from the MMPI
I have a question??? I recently took the MMPI and one other psychological test which I can not recall; in addition to having a psychological interview. I walked out of the written exam confident that I did well and answered everything truthfully, however I felt I did horribly after the interview..I felt as if the doctor thought I was lying to him and that my scores from the written portion (MMPI) contridicted with what I was telling him in the interview. Is it normal procedure (or the whole aspect of the interview) to make the client feel as if they're being interrogated ( by asking indepth questions) to get them to show certain personality traits? I also would like to know how does a psychologist determine whether an individual is fit to work in law enforcement based on the results from the MMPI? ***What would such agency be looking for to determine whether the individual is fit to work in such a capacity? |
