"traps" to prevent malinger
hello i read a few messages pertaining to "faking" and "cheating" on psychological tests to prove innocence. I am interested in this and am curious as to what sort of "traps" would be used in a test alone for those who try to malinger? thnx^^ |

Excellent question. Many tests contain validity scales -- for instance, a "Lie" scale to see if the examinee is trying to look too virtuous by denying minor problems. Other tests see if the examinee's responses fit known patterns. For instance, if certain items are failed, one would expect certain other items to be failed. |
