This forum is visible in the United Kingdom, Australia, and other nations known for libel laws and practice somewhat different than in the United States.  What is protected by the First Amendment is not necessarily protected outside the United States.  If you are an American who lives in the US, your response to a foreign court summons can be to tell the plaintiff to bring his action in an American court.  But if you live in Britain?  Just remember what the McLibel defendants had to go through!
