Message:   Hi, does anybody know if there is any information available how deep the radar penetrates vegetation. What I have found so far is that the radar penetrates the vegetation canopy to "some" depth.

My question: is there any more specific information available somewhere? What is the penetrated depth for different vegetation species/densities?

I am aware that the penetration depth will vary depending on a range of parameters but a good estimate would help.

I would be specificly interested in the penetration depth in
1. dense Papyrus,
2. dense reeds,
3. dense tall grasses (2m hight)

Thanks a lot

Georg
