GlobalMapper understands the hgt files renamed to bil,
when also additional textfiles are appended, in your example

first textfile N32W065.hdr

NCOLS 1201

NBITS 16
BANDROWBYTES 2402
TOTALROWBYTES 2402
BANDGAPBYTES 0

but I am not sure how this works in ArcMap?
