Message:   the JPL version 2 at ftp://e0srp01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/version2 seems also little bit blurred above N50 and under S50 due to sampling to 6x3s and then back to 3x3s. The first research grade JPL version 1 at ftp://e0srp01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/version1 is ok from this point of view.
The existence of the 3s undersampled seamless version and averaged JPL ftp version gives an academic chance for us (without the access to the 1s original) to consider the tendency of the original 1s nine points to be concave or convex…
