Jessie is correct but he understated. Canaries don't only do well in individual breeding cages, it is a requirement. Canaries are NOT, never have been and never will be aviary birds. They are not social, they are territorial and territorial birds will kill the offspring of other males. It's encoded into their genes. Please take the female and her mate out of that aviary and put them in a breeding cage asap along with the nest and two remaining babies. Besides, non-breeding birds should not be fed the same kind of food as breeding or baby-raising birds. |
