I have my canaries in an aviary and my female laid 4 eggs of which three hatched.
The babies are three weeks old and the first one left the nest yesterday.
The mum was feeding him ok when he was out of the nest and at night he went back with the others two but he couldn't get back himself.
This morning he wa out of the nest again and seemed fine but we have just found him dead at the bottom of the aviary and it looks like he was attacked by the others.
I am now worried what to do with the other two in there as I am not sure what happened.
Please I am new to this and I have read up so much but it is really hard finding good,correct advice so please can someone on here help me.
I am in the uk.
