Message:   Thanks for your reply. He was on the same floor as the kitchen, but I had not used a non-stick pan that morning. I did not palpitate for tumours, but his feathers were thick and a good colour, I couldn't see mites, his eyes were okay. It was just that mid-morning, I noticed he was sitting on the bottom of the cage, not sleeping, just sitting, with his feathers slightly fluffed with his eyes half closed. I went upstairs wondcering what to do and when I came down, he lying on his side, clearly gone. This actually happened about six weeks before. I noticed in the night that he was doing the same thing, but after a couple of hours, he seemed okay again. He looked healthy and he was eating, singing, etc. When I saw him doing the same thing, I wondered about taking him to the vet, but wondered if it would pass. Before I could do anything, he was gone.
