Message:		Yes, ABBA 1700 is a good seed mix for canaries but you cannot use it for finches, especially for Goldians, you need a special mix for them (ABBA also makes one). In the winter, you should mix the 1700 with black and white in equal parts but you can offer it straight all the way to the end of the molt. As to waste... well, there is always waste, just don't refill the bowls every day, blow on them to get the empty hulls out of the way and put it back until it's almost finish, that way you will ensure that they eat a good mix.
