Greene Hall 435 West 116th Street, New York, NY 10027 Admission: Free Justice Abdullahi will discuss the importance of judicial independence in strenghtening democracy, the rule of law and the fair dispensation of justice in Nigeria. His discussion will provide insights on the experience of Nigeria's electoral tribunals in protecting the sanctity of the electoral process in the course of adjudicating election petitions related to Nigeria's two most recent general elections. In his remarks, Justice Abdullahi will also identify systemic and other challenges to judicial independence and the rule of law in Nigeria and share his views on how judicial independence and the rule of law can be advanced in Nigeria . An interactive discussion with Justice Abdullahi on various issues pertaining to law and justice in Nigeria will follow after his opening remarks. REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED |
