This a wonderful descovery for our family; this web site. We have found so many Kisbys (of all spellings)
I wish I knew quite what to do next. The old boundaries of counties are quite complex. (Peterborough, Cambs "moved" three times that I can remember!)
My father, Vernon Edward kisby seems to think that his family may have been in and around the Upwell area near Wisbech or Norfolk way.
We have posessiion of an old cup with the name William Kisby on it. It reads: "William Kisby aged 69. August 12th 1883" and something that looks like "Upwell" also painted on in gold. We think it may have belonged to my great grandfather.(?)
I want to know all about the knight, Ralph de Kisebi;it's a writer's thing!
