Following the publication of the Whittlesey News article, I've been contacted by a Len Kisby from Tredegar (30 miles from me) - he is Great grandson of Levi Kisby, the plover catcher from Whittlesey who drowned in 1914(www.kisbee.co.uk/levi.htm) - small world heh? Apparently Levi was somewhat pickled when he fell (for the second time in the same day) into Moreton's Leam!!! |
