My GG-Grandfather John Ferrell Stafford's second wife was a Malissa (unknown maiden name) Stamper. John and Malissa, both elderly by then, married on 19 Nov 1925 in Boyd County KY in Catlettsburg. Malissa had been previously married to a mysterious Mr. Stamper and they had divorced sometime around 1903 in Carter County KY in the town of Grayson....this info from John's Civil War pension records. I wonder if you might know the name of this Mr. Stamper and the maiden name of Malissa? I don't know if they married in Carter Co KY or elsewhere. |
