In the 1850 Census James & Matilda (Stamper) Barrett were listed with several children. Also, Joel Stamper age 72 was listed in their household. My gg grandfather was Pealy Barrett - their youngest child. I am interested in any information about Pealy Barrett.Especially, was his wife Emiline Vires or Emiline Spencer. I have seen both listed as his wife. My ggrandmother's (America Barrett McIntosh) death certificate said that her mother was Emiline Vires.
