Free Improv Workshop (Austin)
Tom Booker, the Artistic Director of The Institution Theatre and Director of The Institution @ Esther's Follies will be hosting a Free Improv Workshop this Saturday, January 12th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Esther's Follies. (525 E. 6th St.) The workshop will cover basic improvisation and is open to anyone and everyone regardless of Improv or Acting experience. Tom Booker has recently moved to Austin from Los Angeles to start an Improv and Sketch Writing School at Esther's Follies. Tom was an instructor at The Second City Training Center in Los Angeles for the past six years. While in Chicago, Tom studied at Second City, was a founding member Chicago's Annoyance Theatre and studied with Del Close at The ImprovOlympic.
