As Filthy As It Gets Written and performed by Monessa Esquivel and Annele Spector Jump-Start Performance Co. (website) Everybody wants this filthy pair! Winner of the Best Play of 2007 in the San Antonio Current (Readers’ and Critics’ Pick), Filthy returns for it’s mind-blowing adventure with the rowdy and irreverent Methane Sisters. Follow the Sisters as they try to regain their former fame. Their volatile relationship as co-dependent musical stars sends them into obscurity and oblivion until the music industry sucks them back in almost 20 years later. Featuring new material, live music, original video, and lots of audience participation. Direction by Steve Bailey, video by Sam Lerma and Sam Bayless. Live music by Paul Mata and Marc Montoya, a.k.a The Crippling Gas Band. Suzy Bravo and the Soul Revue will perform as pre-show entertainment on opening night, Friday January 11th. The Undercovers, featuring Crissy Bliss, will also perform on another night, TBA! Location: Jump-Start Performance Co., located in the Blue Star Arts Complex, at the corner of S. Alamo and Probandt.
